True 4WD tour Kazbegi, Truso, Gudauri, Ananuri (6 ppl max)
Most Kazbegi tours fill a 15-passenger minibus, visit three paved viewpoints, and call it an adventure. This experience goes much further. We travel in authentic, licensed 7-seater 4x4 vehicles with a strict maximum of 6 passengers. This gives you a personal atmosphere and allows us to drive where standard minibuses turn back. Tour Highlights & Itinerary Ananuri Fortress: A beautifully preserved medieval castle overlooking the turquoise Zhinvali Reservoir. Gudauri & Friendship Monument: Panoramic stops above 2,000m on the Georgian Military Road with views across the Greater Caucasus. Gergeti Trinity Church: Perched at 2,170m with Mount Kazbek filling the sky behind it. A 14th-century landmark at the edge of the world. Truso Valley Off-Road Excursion: Beyond Gergeti, pavement ends. Our 4x4 follows rough gravel tracks and river crossings into Kazbegi National Park. Experience orange and white travertine terraces, bubbling mineral springs, Abano Lake, medieval watchtowers, the ghost village of Ketrisi, and an easy 2–3 km flat walk along the Terek River. Group or Private Tour Options: Small Group: Max 6 travelers, shared 4x4 vehicle, best value. Private Tour: Your group only, fully flexible schedule. Both options include return to Tbilisi or drop-off in Stepantsminda (Kazbegi). wine tasting, no honey stops, no tourist traps. Just authentic mountains and history. Available June to October. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) What vehicle is used and how is seating arranged? We use high-clearance, licensed 7-seater 4x4s built for rough mountain tracks (max 6 guests + driver). Standard tickets include shared row seating. For maximum space, extra legroom, and front-row views, select the Front Seat / Comfort Upgrade at checkout. (Only one seat per car) Is a 4x4 really necessary? Yes. The road into Truso Valley consists of unpaved gravel, dirt, and river crossings where ordinary minibuses cannot drive. Is the Truso Valley walk difficult? No. It is an easy 2–3 km walk on mostly flat terrain. Standard, comfortable sneakers or trainers are perfectly fine. Is lunch included? Lunch is not included. We stop at local spots (budget approx. 20–40 GEL per person for authentic khinkali and local food). Can I be dropped off in Kazbegi/Stepantsminda after the tour?
Yes! Drop-off at your hotel or central Stepantsminda is available for both group and private bookings. What should I wear? Mountain weather changes fast. Bring layers, a windproof jacket, walking shoes, sunscreen, a power bank, and spare socks for Truso Valley. A warm layer is essential even in mid-summer.
